mod contact.

Your friendly neighborhood mod team.

Redshift's mod team consists of two people who are responsible for processing apps, as well as updating information on the various pages as creatures/locations/NPCs are submitted. They're also the ones documenting the changes made to the world of the game as players make those changes, but as of its transition into a sandbox game, are no longer leading the game in terms of an overarching plot. Most importantly, the mod team is here to make sure everyone has a good time, and to reinforce the rules if someone is a jerk and ruins someone else's aforementioned good time.

The mod team will do its best to answer any questions about the game world or respond to player concerns within 48 hours. Setting and game mechanic questions should be asked on the Settings & Location page or the Rules & Game Standards page, respectively.

Any other questions should be asked either via private message or in response to this entry. For announcements and to keep track of what's going on in the game, follow the game's plurk account.

The virtual reality experience in the first TDM, is there any sort of set rule for how it functions? How our characters got to it, what kind of gear they're wearing to experience it, how they exit it, stuff like that? Or does it just work however we want it to work?

Cool. Thanks.

Are all of the current housing rooms on the same floor, or just in the same building?

That's fair. Building was probably a bad word choice. They're all kind of connected, though? All accessible from the same corridor kind of thing? So that someone walking to or from their room could conceivably pass all the other rooms?

Awesome. I thought that was probably the case, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Okay so! I have a question. I submitted my app/was accepted 6/12, and the app I submitted had things through the most current event of his point in his CRAU game at the time. But obviously Some Other Things happened between that point, and when the game officially opened. And I was wondering if there is any way I could have those events exist as part of his experiences here. I could even do some kind of additional "here is the rest of the stuff that happened" add-on/update on the CRAU History or something, if necessary, honestly! I just wouldn't include anything from MoM beyond that opening date, here.

Thanks for your time! <3

I looked through the settings page and couldn't find an answer to this, so please forgive me if I missed it.

Obviously dead characters are not-dead in the game. How does that work? Are they healed of their mortal injuries when they arrive? Are they taken from the moment before those injuries are sustained? I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out Patch's clothing situation. It hasn't become relevant yet, but I want to be prepared when it does. Did she arrive in bloodstained clothing with a bullet wound through the back of her jacket and shirt? Or is she just wearing what she died in, but in good, non-shot-up condition?

You're absolutely right. Sorry. Would you like me to re-ask the question in the correct place, in case it comes up for anyone else? I'm happy to move it over.

Hi mods!

I have just realised I made an oversight in my inventory when I apped Finnick in that I brought him in with most of his military gear but I realise now that I should have included a military knife/dagger. Would it be ok for him to have that as well please?

Quick question - possibly better answered via dm so if so just hit me up. Peter and Ben when exploring the library found some old diaries and maps. Shepard and Annie have both been lending their expertise looking over them. Any tidbits they might glean or learn, particularly from the maps?

Thanks so much for all your hard work!

Mod friends! Peter and Ben found the surveillance hub in the 'joe dirt' plot prompt for the last intro mingle. Peter found some stored footage and decrypted it and they're planning to review the tapes from their own rooms and see if there are any discernible trends in terms of what they were being surveilled for / what footage is being kept.

I was hoping to ask if there would be any patterns they notice that would give any little hints what the person(s) responsible for the cameras might be documenting?

Sorry if this is worded weirdly and please let me know if this doesn't make sense and I need to explain more. THANKS Y'ALL ARE THE BEST.

Hi guys! Qubit's on this project as well, and I have a handful of questions:

1.
Is there any way to tell how long the hole, and/or the monitoring system inside, have been there? Like, based on physical evidence, how far back video data goes, auditing the station's power use logs, etc. And relatedly, how long was the anomalous power usage going on before it was discovered?

2.
While the others are reviewing the contents of the footage, Qubit's going to try and trace its path, ie. how it got from the cameras to the hole, and whether or not that was its final destination.

Specific questions he's trying to answer:

  1. Where, when, and how did the intrusion take place?
Physical wiretap? Hidden wireless repeater (to boost the signal through rock)? Hacking the camera controls? Combination of methods?

  2. Is there any sign that the data has been passed on?
Transmissions from the monitoring station? Evidence of disks being physically moved elsewhere? Does the cave go deeper? Are there any tracks?

  3. If it has been passed on, is there anything to identify the sender or intended recipient?
Obviously not like a name and PO Box, but maybe some kind of number/symbol/hash that's the same across multiple transmissions? Has the monitoring station recorded any sort of acknowledgement or response, even a simple "OK"?

I'm fine with some of the info he finds being incomplete or inconclusive, as well. THE MYSTERY DEEPENS.

Thanks so much for your help, I am loving the hell out of this game so far!

HELLO DEAREST MODS may I request that 2 channels be added to the discord server: one for RL discussion, and one for RL venting specifically? Chat's been a bit crazy recently and it might be nice to further divide things. THANKS.
